When Angelique Austin, a Farrell High School senior, heard about Demi’s story from her boyfriend who attends New Castle High School – where our TDV Awareness and Prevention Outreach Program was presented in December 2014, she immediately shared the information with her Business Education Teacher, Kim Kladitis. With the combined efforts of Angelique, Kim and Principal Hood, our program was welcomed at Farrell.

Prior to the presentation student volunteers eagerly jumped into action to help set up and distribute LHAS signature xoshove≠trulove t-shirts, demibrae.com wristbands and printed resource materials. In addition to all their help, a generous donation of $450 was donated to the DBCAO to assist with our mission of raising awareness of the prevalence and related risks for teens with regards to dating violence.

Dating violence can be prevented when teens, families, schools, organizations, and communities work together to implement effective prevention strategies. Thank you for believing and investing in Demi’s message. It was certainly our honor and privilege to visit Farrell High School, and we are humbled by all your generosity and compassion.

*A special thank you to LPK for saving the day!
