Gary Cuccia is a dad who misses his daughter. “When Demi died, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how to live,” Mr. Cuccia said. Dr. Cuccia has made it his mission to educate high school students on the dangers of teen domestic violence and regularly speaks at schools in the region on the topic. He also started the Demi Brae Cuccia Awareness Organization in his daughter’s honor. “Ultimately I hope they remember my daughter, Demi,” Mr. Cuccia said about what he wants students to take away from his talk. “I hope it opens their eyes” to take steps to prevent teen domestic violence, he said.
