On August 15, 2007 my beautiful daughter Demi would find herself in a terrifying fight for her life. She was betrayed, violently attacked and brutally murdered by someone she trusted. I refuse to let Demi be viewed as just another domestic violence statistic.

We, the Demi Brae Cuccia Awareness Organization, have fought long and hard to heighten awareness and bring TDV education to our Pennsylvania legislators, school districts, teens and their parents, along with the communities they live in. Many have supported us along the way…

Demi’s message – Plum High School, Thursday, March 12, 2015.

It is with a deep appreciation that we thank and recognize Standard Bank of Monroeville. Through their Standard Charitable Foundation, a $5,000 grant was awarded to the DBCAO to support our TDV Educational Program hosted at Plum on Thursday. Over 1,200 students were present during the presentation and benefited from the materials that were distributed following Demi’s message. We also appreciate the appearance and remarks of Congressman Keith Rothfus.

A special shout-out to Mrs. Dunn and all her SADD student volunteers who assisted with the distribution of the printed materials, t-shirts and Demi wristbands following the assembly.

The core of the Demi Brae Cuccia Awareness Organization’s work is to honor Demi through our Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Program. By sharing Demi’s message, the DBCAO is committed to inspiring teens, families, and communities to build healthier relationships.

A heartfelt thank you to Principal Ryan Kociela for the warm welcome and support!
