We extend our sincere appreciation to Family Consumer Science Teacher Patty Sedlock for her efforts in seeing that Demi’s message was heard at Brockway. Patty was present during Dr. Cuccia’s presentation earlier in the year at IUP. Following the program Patty felt compelled to bring our Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Program to her students.

Over 430 students, in grades 7th – 12th, filled the auditorium as Dr. Cuccia shared his daughter Demi’s story. Following the presentation, every student received a signature xoshove≠trulove (kiss, hug, shove does not equal true love) t-shirt, provided by LHAS, along with DemiBrae.com wristbands and informational brochures.

Thank you Principal Denise Carlini and Assistant Principal Mark Dippold for your warm welcome. A special thank you to the students of the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for their monetary donation to the DBCAO and for their volunteer efforts during the program.
