We would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor Rhonda Gay Hartman for extending an invitation to Dr. Gary Cuccia to visit her 3rd year law students at Duquesne Law School on Monday, November 25, 2013. Dr. Cuccia shared his daughter Demi’s story and information regarding the legislative process that was involved with Demi’s Bill. November 17, 2010 – Demi’s Bill (HB2026) was never reintroduced in the Senate Education Committee, chaired by Senator Jeffrey Piccola. However TDV language, along with Demi’s story, was taken from (HB2026) and amended into HB 101, a Senate Education Omnibus Bill, which recommends TDV Education in grades 9-12. This bill passed into law, November 17, 2010.
