Once again, we want to give a big thanks to Jackie Dierickx, Education Outreach Supervisor of Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, for coordinating our Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Program at her alma mater, Laurel Jr. / Sr. High School. Jackie was present to hear Demi’s message during our presentation at Gateway High School in September 2013. Since then Mrs. Dierickx has worked diligently to see that our program and Demi’s message reach students in Lawrence County. We are truly grateful for her support.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Principal Mark Frengel for granting us the opportunity to deliver Demi’s message, address teen dating violence, and provide the 400 plus students, in 9th through 12th grade, with resources. Education is the key to stopping abuse before it starts.

A special thank you to all the senior students who volunteered their time during the program.
