October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Every community across this nation shares the grief of families who have lost mothers, daughters, sisters and fathers, brothers and sons to domestic violence homicides. Domestic violence knows no boundaries, it can happen to anyone, anywhere. That is the message Dr. Gary Cuccia shared with the Uniontown Area High School students today during our teen dating violence awareness and prevention program. Over 900 students filled the auditorium as Demi’s father shared her tragic story. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Principals Robert Manges and Heather Sefchek, along with John Fortugna, Dean of Students, for the opportunity to visit their school today. We are hopeful that the student body will join us in changing lives in their community by sharing Demi’s powerful message!
