We were honored to participate in the Waynesburg University Bonner Scholars teen dating violence awareness initiative that took place on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Waynesburg Central High School auditorium. We extend our sincere appreciation to Kimber Blair, Bonner Scholar Leader / President of Waynesburg University AIGA Student Group and Dominic Zappa, a senior at Waynesburg University with an Accounting Major/Finance and Business Management Minor, for the opportunity to share Demi’s message with those in attendance. Dominic, a 2010 graduate of Gateway High School was very familiar with Demi and her story; as he had classes with her while attending Gateway. I’m very moved and touched by the fact that Dominic was wearing a memorial t-shirt that was distributed to Gateway students, over 6 ½ years ago, during a school vigil to honor Demi. Following the student’s presentation Kimber Blair presented the Demi Brae Cuccia Awareness Organization with a $400 donation. We thank you all for your fundraising efforts and for helping to support our mission to educate on the dangers associated with Teen Dating Violence. We enjoyed dinner and conversation with these inspiring students later that evening, and we certainly wish every one of them the best of luck in their future endeavors
